The Give Geography its Place Campaign begun after a post on the SLN Geography Forum by Val Vannet. Following this Dan Raven-Ellison made the now legendary post on the same forum titled “Getting the media to label Geography” and the GGIP campaign was born, co-founded by Dan and David Rayner on the 21st May 2006.
